COVID-19 Safety Precautions


My patients' wellbeing is my highest priority and I am doing my utmost to make my office a safe and supportive space for healing. Here are the precautions I am taking to minimize the risk of COVID-19 transmission in my office.

  • Office Visit Format Will Be Changing Starting July 1, 2021: As of July 1, all office visits will return to being 60 minutes long and a pre-treatment virtual check-in will no longer be required for follow-up visits. This change reflects the increased level of safety and protection currently afforded by the widely available vaccines. All other safety measures and policies related to office visits will remain the same.

  • Pre-Treatment Screenings: All patients will be screened for COVID-19 symptoms, exposure, and risk factors prior to each appointment. The reminder email that patients receive 48 hours before their appointment will contain a link to a screening questionnaire that must be filled out within the 48 hours before their treatment.

  • Patients who have symptoms of COVID-19 or who have tested positive and have not yet recovered cannot be seen in the office. Symptomatic or COVID-19 positive patients are welcome to book virtual wellness sessions for support in managing their symptoms.

  • Temperature Checks: Upon arrival, each patient's temperature will be taken before entering into the office. If a patient's temperature is 100.0 or higher, the appointment will be rescheduled and the patient will be referred to their primary doctor for follow-up. There will be no late cancellation fee if the appointment must be rescheduled for this reason.

  • Masks are required at all times. All patients must arrive wearing a mask and continue to wear the mask for the entire duration of their treatment. I will also be wearing a mask at all times while in the office.

  • Patients are asked to use hand sanitizer upon entering the suite. Hand sanitizer is also available in the treatment room.

  • The waiting room is not being used. Patients should arrive no earlier than 5 minutes prior to their appointment time. I will text you when cleaning protocols have been completed and I am ready to buzz you in. The door to the suite will be locked and I will come to the door to let you in.

  • Air purifiers are running in the hallway and the treatment room.

  • At a minimum, the treatment room window will be opened between sessions for extra ventilation. I'm also leaving the window open during treatments as much as possible, weather permitting. I have a space heater to keep the room warm on cooler days and a fan to cool things down on hotter days.

  • All surfaces touched during a patient's visit are disinfected with an EPA-approved cleaning solution after every appointment.

  • Linens are no longer in use. I'm using soft, disposable table paper instead, and the table surface is disinfected after each use. I will still be able to use the table warmer and the heat lamp. Whenever possible, please come in wearing clothes with sleeves/pant legs/hems that can be easily pushed up so that disrobing is not necessary. Paper gowns will be provided as needed.

  • All pillows are in vinyl coverings that are wiped down with disinfectant between uses.

  • Contactless payments are being handled via invoice. After your treatment, you will receive a Square invoice via email, which will allow you to use your credit card to pay online.

  • I am monitoring my own temperature and screening myself for symptoms each time I come to the office.

  • I am fully vaccinated. As of March 10, 2021 I have received both doses of the Moderna vaccine.
