Virtual Wellness Sessions
While acupuncture needles are wonderful tools, there are many other ways to stimulate your body's capacity to repair, regulate, and heal itself. If you are located in Washington DC or Virginia, you can work with me without having to leave home by booking a Virtual Wellness Session, held via secure video call.
During a Virtual Wellness Session, you will learn self-care techniques to reduce stress, manage health issues, and cultivate a greater sense of wellbeing. These may include acupressure, breathing and relaxation practices, qi gong movements, using food as medicine, and/or lifestyle choices based on Chinese medicine wisdom.
Each session will be customized to your individual needs and will draw on my 25+ years of experience working in the healing arts.
Virtual Wellness Sessions are great option if you are located in Washington, DC or Virginia and you are:
- Not able to make it to my office for an in-person treatment
- Interested in learning ways to reduce stress, improve symptoms, and stay well with self-care techniques that you can use anywhere, anytime
- Home sick with a cold or flu and needing symptom relief
- Limited by mobility issues or other symptoms that make travelling to appointments difficult
I have used Virtual Wellness Sessions to help patients with many types of health issues including:
- Stress and physical symptoms made worse by stress
- Anxiety, depression, PTSD and other mental health challenges
- Allergies
- Headaches and migraines
- Fatigue
- Insomnia
- Digestive issues
- PMS and menstrual discomfort
- Menopausal and perimenopausal symptoms
- Muscle and joint pain
Virtual sessions may include:
- practical tips you can use to manage or resolve your existing health issues using Chinese medicine principles
- guided self-acupressure, self-massage, and self-reflexology techniques
- instruction in breathing and relaxation practices
- instruction in qi gong practices (qi gong exercises combine movement and breathing to support health and reduce stress)
- recommendations for therapeutic essential oils or herbs
- ideas for using lifestyle and food choices to improve your wellbeing
- support around working through difficult emotions from a Five Element perspective
- holding space for consciously and intentionally cultivating a sense of calm in these stressful times
Here's what patients are saying about their virtual wellness sessions:
"I was actually shocked at how effective the distance work was. It was potent, and I slept like a baby on my yoga mat for a half hour after the session in the same deeply restful state I get from an in-person needle treatment, then went back to my day with a calmer nervous system. This was a very helpful appointment - thank you for the healing session."
"I got so much from our virtual session today. Since we signed off, I've felt much more positive and creative about the good that can come from this period, and in general. It's wonderful to be blessed with the resource of you for me. You really do "get" me, and I appreciate all the wellness you have helped me achieve over the years."
- For established patients, Virtual Wellness Sessions are 1 hour in length ($95). If you would like to give someone the gift of a Virtual Wellness Session, please contact me to arrange for a gift certificate.
- For new patients, the first virtual appointment will be a 1.5 hour Initial Virtual Wellness Session ($130). The extra time will allow us to discuss your health history and goals so that I can design telehealth treatments that best meet your unique needs.
- I am licensed to practice in Virginia and in Washington, DC, so patients who sign up for Virtual Wellness Sessions must be in one of those two locales.
